Where is the privacy setting?
10:32“Which button do I press?”
Help should still feel close.
When Mum, Dad or a grandparent meets an unfamiliar screen, KinAfar gives one clear, kind next step in the language they know best.
EVERY QUESTION IS A SMALL ACT OF TRUST
If they stop asking, it may only mean they did not want to bother you.
SEE IT BEFORE YOU DECIDE
One screenshot in. One clear next step out.
Choose an everyday screen problem and see the kind of answer they receive.
Interactive prototype using illustrative screens. Exact supported apps, response times and guidance quality will be validated during the founding pilot.
THE QUESTIONS THEY DO NOT ASK
Sometimes, “It's okay” really means “I didn't want to interrupt you.”
They may worry about pressing the wrong thing, feel awkward asking for the same help twice, or decide to wait until you sound less busy. The question goes quiet, but the screen is still in the way.
The show left unwatched
They remembered the programme that made them laugh, but could not find it without you.
The photo left unopened
A family moment arrived, hidden behind a button they did not feel safe pressing.
The call never started
They wanted to see your face, but did not want to interrupt your day to ask how.
These are not just technology problems. Each small barrier can quietly take one more ordinary pleasure out of reach.
KinAfar is here to keep more of life within reach.YOU SET IT UP · THEY USE IT
One thoughtful setup for you. One very simple place to ask for them.
Most families will begin with an adult child setting it up. But an older adult can also choose and pay for KinAfar themselves, then invite someone they trust to help with the first setup. Whoever begins, their everyday experience stays calm, personal and free of account settings.
Create a helper that already feels familiar when it arrives.
- Choose their name, language, text size and helper style
- Add a short welcome message in your own words
- Send one private link in the chat you already use together
- See whether setup worked and step in only when needed
“This is from my family. I can tap it whenever I need a hand.”
- One familiar icon or saved link—no password
- Screenshot on the device where the problem happened
- One large marker and one calm next step
- A trusted family member is nearby when something is sensitive
FOUND KINAFAR FOR YOURSELF?
It can be your account—and you can still ask someone you trust to help with the first setup.
You choose and pay for KinAfar. If you would like a hand getting started, send a one-time setup link to a daughter, son, grandchild, friend or anyone you trust. They can help choose your language, text size, voice and Home Screen shortcut. When setup is finished, the account stays yours.
Start with the page made for meChoose KinAfar for yourself
You remain the account owner and decide who—if anyone—helps you.
Invite a setup helper, or continue alone
Send one temporary link to someone you trust. No password or payment details need to be shared.
Keep your ownership and everyday privacy
Once setup is complete, your helper cannot automatically see the screenshots you use day to day.
Your KinAfar stays yours. A setup helper cannot see your payment details, and you can remove their access at any time.
HOW IT WORKS
You take care of the setup. After that, they can ask for themselves.
No more passing screenshots from them to you and then back again. The helper lives on the same device as the problem, so taking a screenshot and sending it stays one familiar loop.
Make it feel like it came from you
Choose their language and helper style, then add the name and welcome message they will recognise.
Send one private welcome link
They tap it in the chat you already use. When you are together, you can also save it to their Home Screen like an app.
Practise once on their device
KinAfar shows the exact buttons for their phone. For a computer problem, it teaches the shortcut on that same computer—no camera hand-off.
Stay quietly in the loop
Routine questions remain private. You can see that the helper is active and are invited in only when a screen is uncertain or sensitive.
GIVE HELP WITHOUT MAKING THEM FEEL HELPLESS
It arrives as a small gift from you—not another tool you handed them.
KinAfar never tells an older relative they are “bad with technology.” The welcome uses their family name, familiar language and a message from someone they trust.

以后手机上不知道点哪里,把截图发到这里就好。不是因为你不会,是这些手机本来就不该这么难。
BUILT FOR FAMILIES FAR APART
Help them feel capable, connected and quietly supported.
KinAfar is not only being built to answer a question. It is being built to help an older relative trust their phone as an everyday tool—and trust that help is always close when a screen feels unfamiliar.
One step at a time
No long tutorial and no technical language—just the next action on the exact screen they sent.
Help they can hear
Large visual guidance can be paired with a short reply in their chosen language for older relatives who find small text tiring.
Family when it matters
Routine questions stay routine. Uncertain or sensitive screens can be brought to the trusted family member chosen during setup.
Not just fewer tech-support calls. More confidence, more laughter, more life within reach.
REAL-LIFE MOMENTS
Small screen problems. Much simpler answers.
The example changes with the language you choose above.
“Where is the privacy setting?”
Tap Privacy & Security. It is the second row on this screen.
“How do I stop this alert?”
Tap the green switch. It will turn grey when notifications are off.
“Why are the words so small?”
Drag the circle to the right. The words will get bigger as you move it.
Overseas ↔ HomeWHY KINAFAR EXISTS
I once sat beside my grandmother with only a phone between our two worlds.
I was living and working abroad. When I visited her, I showed her photos from my life, places I had been and even a friend's little squirrel in Silicon Valley. She was fascinated. She smiled. For a moment, the distance between our lives disappeared.
Years later, after she had passed away, I realised I had thought of the phone as something I brought to her—not something that could have helped her reach us whenever she wished. If technology had felt easier and safer, perhaps we could have shared more ordinary days: a video call left open, a photo sent at breakfast, a small question asked without hesitation.
KinAfar grew from that realisation. We cannot make time slow down. But we can make it easier to share—and help someone we love feel that people, answers and small joys are still within reach.
Try one real screen—then turn the answer into their own private helper.
The new guided setup keeps every decision on its own screen, separates your language from theirs, and only asks about character and voice after you have seen a useful answer.

GOOD TO KNOW
Questions before you join
Who pays, and who actually uses KinAfar?
Either a family member or the older adult can own and pay for KinAfar. The person who pays, the person who helps with setup and the person who uses it do not have to be the same. Billing stays with the paying account holder; the everyday user gets one simple personal helper in their language without subscription pages or another password to remember.
How many people will one membership cover?
One membership will be prepared for one parent, grandparent or loved one, with their own language, character and private helper. A family helping more than one person will be able to add another separate membership later.
What if my parent or grandparent discovers KinAfar themselves?
They can choose and pay for KinAfar in their own name. If they would like help getting started, they can send a one-time setup link to a daughter, son, grandchild, friend or another trusted person. That helper can set the language, text size, voice and Home Screen shortcut, but cannot see payment details or automatically view everyday screenshots. The account remains theirs.
How do I give KinAfar to someone I love?
You choose their name, family title, preferred language, text size, voice preference and how Tinker appears—a cat, dog, red panda or simple mode. KinAfar then creates a personal welcome message and one link to send in the chat app you already use together. They tap it once—there is no new password to remember.
Do I need to pass screenshots back and forth for them?
No. You set up the helper and send one private welcome link. After that, they use it directly on the device where the problem appears. A phone screenshot stays on the phone. For Windows or Mac, they open the same helper on that computer, take a screenshot there and paste or upload it without moving to another device.
What if they do not know how to take a screenshot?
KinAfar first asks what device they have. The animated guide shows every nearby button, labels Volume Up + and Volume Down -, and only highlights the two buttons they should press. Windows and Mac receive their own keyboard guide. You can practise the first one together during setup.
Does my parent or grandparent need to install an app?
No App Store download is needed for the pilot. They can use the private link directly. If you are together, you can save that link to their Home Screen so it opens like an app; they still do not need to create a separate password.
What if they are not used to taking screenshots?
The welcome flow includes one short, phone-specific practice that you can do together. Once they have sent the first screenshot, future questions repeat the same action instead of introducing a new process each time.
Will I still need to answer every question?
No—that is the main change. Everyday screenshot questions go straight to their helper. You can see that setup is working, but routine screenshots stay private. You are brought in when the answer is uncertain or the screen involves something sensitive.
Will KinAfar control their phone?
No. It only provides a marked-up image and simple instructions. It cannot tap buttons or access the device.
Which languages, phones and apps will it support?
The current test offers its interface, instructions and voice in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Hindi. The founding pilot will test common iPhone, Android and computer screens, everyday settings and frequently used apps. Language and app priorities will be shaped by real founding-family use.
What happens with passwords, payments or verification codes?
KinAfar is for everyday phone navigation. It will not ask for passwords or verification codes and will not complete transactions. When a screen is uncertain or sensitive, the intended pilot flow is to bring in the trusted family member chosen during setup instead of guessing.
How does the Founding price work?
During the opening launch window, the annual membership is US$49.90—about US$4.16 a month or less than US$0.14 a day. The future standard price for new customers is planned at US$79.90/year. Founding members renew at US$49.90/year while their membership remains active.
When does the membership begin?
Immediately after checkout, when the usable private helper is activated. We do not charge for a waiting list or begin the membership clock before the product is available to use.
What happens if a renewal payment fails?
Billing reminders go to the paying account holder—not the older family member. The intended launch experience includes a short grace period so the helper does not disappear suddenly while the payer updates their card.
Is KinAfar only for Chinese or Australian families?
No. Chinese-speaking families are one important starting group, but the product is for families living apart anywhere—including relatives in different countries, different cities or the same city with busy schedules. The current test offers eight guidance languages, and pilot prices are shown in US dollars.
Is KinAfar available now?
The working guided experience is available to try now. Membership checkout will activate the same private helper for continued use during the founding beta.
